At the Household of David, we are constantly reminded of the powerful truth that “everything works together for good for those who love God” (Romans 8:28). This has been the story of our church for years.
It has never been more evident than during our recent series of services tagged ‘The Restoration Series’. These services have provided us with a profound opportunity to reflect on our journey thus far and to witness God’s unwavering goodness and restoration in our lives.
God is the Restorer
Recent events and experiences serve as the foundation for our Restoration Series. Pastor Nathaniel Bassey and Minister Dunsin Oyekan, who were invited as guest ministers to celebrate and usher the church into its newly refurbished facility following the fire incident earlier in the year, provided excellent ministry during the series, which Pastor Sola Osunmakinde led.
We embarked on a voyage of spiritual rebirth and hope with this series. All three of the preachers together served as a reminder that God is, in fact, the Restorer.
As it says in Psalm 126:1, “We were like those who dreamed when the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion”. This verse aptly captures the power of God to redeem and change our lives.
The Need for Restoration
Life is full of human errors, unforeseen circumstances, and missed opportunities that create a need for restoration. God’s restoration often comes in ways we least expect, demonstrating His profound wisdom and love.
